MONDAY, OCTOBER 12 ~ Henry Jarrod (Vincent Price)sculpts wax figures so lifelike that visitors to his museum swear they look real. Jarrod prefers historical subjects like his Joan of Arc tableau, but his partner, Matthew Burke, wants some quick cash and urges Jarrod to make more gruesome statues to boost ticket sales. Frustrated by Jarrod’s defiance, Burke decides to burn down the wax museum for the insurance money.
